Horizontal damp-proof course

Below this horizontal barrier the dampness is still spreading and the masonwork suffers

This is not a good example for a horizontal barrier

If the horizontal damp-proof course is defective dampness is able to spread on the ground of the masonwork.
- The Egyptians had already known the effect of a horizontal barrier below the heavy masonwork they built. Even the basket Moses crossed the Nile in was made waterproof by tar.
- So the horizontal damp-proof course was known by our ancestors. Experience shows us that every horizontal barrier suffers from thermal, seismic and biologic influences over years or decades.
- It's difficult to put a horizontal barrier back into masonwork later. The reasonable solution would have been the electro cybernetic method of ECODRY. On one hand the dampness will led back into the ground. On the other hand it protects the masonwork from new dampness reaching the walls.
- It's not a good idea to pump chemicals into your walls just to stop capillary rising damp. If this was a profoundly misguided move you cannot remove it!
- 80% of all attempts to replace the horizontal barrier by using chemicals fail! It's written in specialist literature. Please remember: This method is often called the state-of-the-art technology though!
- Keep in mind that the industry is laughing up its sleeve when you're buying all their products, but our children will cry over all we've done to them by using chemicals to fight these problems.
